There are no cash refunds.
If you can not participate, then you may transfer to another Mountain Man event in the same calendar year, or receive a credit of 50% towards a future Mountain Man event, but you must notify us in writing at firstname.lastname@example.org, and you must qualify for one of the following scenarios:
Regardless of the reason, if you notify us more than 30 days before the event, then you will receive a 100% credit towards a future Mountain Man event. If you notify us more than 7 days before the event (and less than 30 days), then you will receive a 50% credit towards a future Mountain Man event. This credit only covers the entry fee and not any additional service, processing, or USAT fees.
If you have a medical reason, then you must submit written notice along with a doctors note that advises us that you are not able to participate. This letter must be received at least 10 days prior to the event date in order to receive your 50% credit.This credit only covers the entry fee and not any additional service, processing, or USAT fees.
Extenuating circumstances: If you have an injury, death in the family, or medical emergency less than 14 days from the event, then you must submit notification to us in writing and we will consider credits on a case by case basis. This notice must be received at least 72 hours before the event. No credits will be given without 72 hours prior written notice.
This event goes on rain or shine. In the unlikely event of severe weather the following procedure will be followed:
Start times will be delayed/modified until the dangerous weather has passed.
- If the swim has to be cancelled, then the race will change to a run, bike, run format.
If the entire event must be cancelled due to an extreme event, or other natural or human emergency (including but not limited to pandemic, flooding, fire, etc.), then registrations will be shifted to a new event date, or participants can choose to receive a 50% credit towards any other future Mountain Man event.
