Running Deuces Wild – Saturday: Half Marathon, 10K, & 5K and Sunday: 8K Trail Run

Deuces Wild Half-Marathon

One of the only half marathons in Arizona’s White Mountains, this 2-loop course is a great way to get out and enjoy the Fool Hollow State Park! With mixed terrain, including roads and dirt paths, this race will keep you pushing the pace. Aid stations are well-stocked at every mile.

ENTRY FEE INCLUDES

  • Accurate timing with timing chip and electronic results.
  • Post-race food (bagels and fruit).
  • Finisher Medal
  • T-Shirt

HALF MARATHON COURSE INFO – 13.1 MILES (CUT-OFF TIME 3:00 PM)

The Deuces Wild Half Marathon run course is two loops and takes athletes along the paved roads and the nicely groomed, scenic trail around Fool Hollow Lake and then into the campgrounds for a tour and lots of encouragement from the campers. A rolling out and back along 16th Ave lets you know where you stand in comparison to your competition, just know that it feels a lot longer than it really is! From there you’ll follow the roads back to the start/finish area, but if you are on lap 1, you’ll have to pass right by and do another short out and back before starting all over again. Next time you come around, though, you’ll take that right turn to the finish line!

Entry Fee Includes

  • Accurate timing with timing chip and electronic results.

10K RUN COURSE INFO – (CUT-OFF TIME 3:00 PM)

The 10k run course takes athletes along paved roads and the nicely groomed, scenic trail around Fool Hollow Lake and then into the campgrounds for a tour and lots of encouragement from the campers. A rolling out and back along 16th Ave lets you know where you stand in comparison to your competition.  From there you’ll follow the roads back to the start/finish area, and breathe a sigh of relief that you’ll take that right turn to the finish line instead of the left to head out on a second lap like the Half-Marathon participants!
